No matter what trimester you’re in, summer heat and pregnancy can be a struggle. It’s important that you take extra precautions to keep you and baby comfortable when the tempertures are high.

My son was born in October and a good chunk of my pregnancy was in the summer. Even as fall was approaching, we were still experiencing warmer weather in the Chicagoland area. There was a lot more swelling and exhaustion as time went on.

Here are 5 products that will help keep you comfortable during a summer pregnancy.

1. Sunscreen

First things first: protect your skin! I personally used this Babyganics sunscreen during my pregnancy.

2. Comfortable Maternity Swimsuit

There’s no better feeling than getting into a nice cool pool on a hot day.

This suit was flattering and I felt like I had room to grow in it throughout the summer.

3. Dresses/Rompers

The last thing I wanted to do was wear pants while pregnant, so I LIVED in dresses! I wore these Amazon dresses constantly and loved that I was able to dress them up or down.

4. Water Bottle

It probably goes without saying, but staying hydrated is extra essential when you’re pregnant. One of the best ways to beat the summer heat is to ensure you’re drinking enough water.

Be sure to have a water bottle to use whether you’re at home or on the go.

5. Sun Hat

Lastly, another great way to protect yourself from the sun is to wear a sun hat!
