KEEP IN MIND: What you pack is entirely dependent on where you are going and for how long. Some items on this list are optional. For example, if you are only planning a quick trip to the store, you probably won’t need to pack anything for baby’s feeding. This checklist covers all the basics and you can decide what is essential for where you are going.
1. Diaper Bag

First things first, you need a diaper bag! I LOVE my BabbleRoo backpack. There is plenty of storage for our son’s needs. I also love the conveinence of carrying a backpack rather than a large bag.
2. Diapers

DUH! Make sure to always keep a stash of your baby’s current size diapers in your bag. You’ll need newborn diapers to start!
3. Wipes

Having wipes on hand is a must! My personal favorite are the Huggies Natural Care.
4. Changing Pad

You’ll need a changing pad if the diaper bag you buy doesn’t already include one. The diaper bag I mentioned above already comes with one!
5. Pacifiers

We never go anywhere without pacifiers! Be sure to get newborn sized pacifiers for when your baby first arrives.
6. Burp Cloths

Another item we NEVER leave without! You never know when your baby is going to spit up or how much. These burp cloths are the perfect size to put in your diaper bag.
7. Hand Sanitizer

Having hand sanitizer is perfect for on the go if you aren’t able to wash your hands right away.
8. Onesies

When it comes to packing clothes, you’ll probably want to have a a variety of items depending on the weather, where you’re going, and for how long. A good start is to have onesies on hand.
9. Pajamas

Your baby will possibly need an extra outfit. Zip up pajamas are a convenient item to have on hand.
10. Sleep Sack

Is your baby going to need to nap where you’re going? Then packing a sleep sack would be a good idea.
11. Swaddles

Another sleeping option is a swaddle. We love our CuddleBug swaddles!
12. Socks

Be prepared to keep your little one’s feet warm with some socks.
13. Bottles

Will baby need a feeding while you’re out? Whether you are using breastmilk or forumla, don’t forget your bottles!
